Courage story · The Three Hundred · Judges 6–7
Day 04
Torches Inside Jars
“The three companies blew the trumpets, broke the pitchers, and held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands with which to blow; and they shouted, “The sword of the LORD and of Gideon!””
Judges 7:20
Reflection
The light had been burning the whole time, hidden inside clay. Nothing was added at the decisive moment — something was broken, and what had been carried quietly finally showed.
Pray
God, I have spent a long time keeping the cracked parts covered. If what is inside is Yours, let it show through the break rather than in spite of it.
Amen.
Declare
What I carry shows most clearly where I am broken.
Today’s practice
Tell one person about a hard thing you came through — not the cleaned-up version. Let it be useful to them.
