Beginning to Sink

“But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!””

Reflection

The fear arrived in the middle of the attempt, not before it. This is the part that shames people most — not that they never tried, but that they faltered after they did.

Pray

Father, I am afraid in the middle of something I believed You asked of me, and I am embarrassed to be here. Let me call out plainly instead of going quiet and going under.

Amen.

Declare

Faltering in the middle is not proof I should never have started.
