I Have Seen Your Tears

“I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.”
Isaiah 38:5

Reflection

Hezekiah was given more time. Many faithful people are not, and this story is not a formula that produces years — prayer is not an alternative to care, and an outcome is not a grade on anyone's faith. What the verse insists on first is the hearing and the seeing, and that part is promised to everyone.

Pray

Father, I will not pretend to know what You will do with this. I am asking plainly for healing and for time. Whatever comes, let me be sure I was heard and my tears were seen.

Amen.

Declare

However this goes, my prayer was heard and my tears were seen.

Today’s practice

Ask plainly for what you want. Then follow through on one piece of practical care — the appointment, the medication, the question you have been avoiding asking your doctor.
